Can you see your photos when you open in your browser? If not, this means your photos haven't backed up to the cloud yet and I would suggest checking your backup status: • Open the Google Photos app on your mobile device. • At the top left, touch the menu icon > Assistant. • Read the first card. If it says: • 'Waiting for connection' or 'Waiting for Wi-Fi': You need to either change your settings or connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile network. The fact that the Google Photos is a free app that allows unlimited storage space for all your photos and videos is a deal closer within itself!! I currently own all Apple devices and have only ever used Apple because I like the technology but this is a major flaw about their products. But there’s really no great manual or user guide for Google Photos. Google’s FAQ site is about as close as the company comes to a “getting started” handbook. Touch the card to change your settings. • 'Back up & sync is off': Touch 'TURN ON' on the card to back up your device's photos and videos, including ones you capture in the future. • 'A photo or video was skipped': A photo or video on your mobile device doesn't meet our upload requirements: • Photos can't exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels • Videos can't exceed 10GB • 'Backing up photos' or 'Backup complete': This means your photos and videos should be saved. Most of my photos on Google Photos in Drive are gone, barring some I took yesterday and a few dozen random ones of the +6000 I had in Google Photos, but all my photos still show up in the and my Photos app on my Nexus tablet and 5X? The only cause I can figure is that I added Google Drive to my hard drive and to save disk space deleted the Google Photos folder from my local drive a few days ago. As per Google, that is not supposed to delete photos from Photos, rather only delete Google Photos folder from the Drive. Plus photos from way back are gradually reappearing in Photos on Drive? It's a dizzying. Weamish 8/7/2016, 6:14 น. I would suggest to everyone to 1. Reboot ALL your devices Or at the least, closing your browsers completely but a clean reboot would be best 2. After Restart, verify the photos missing issue from MORE THAN ONE device I'm serious. Sorry to be blunt but if ALL YOU HAVE is ONE iPhone, Android device or PC/Mac, you're not doing yourself a favor AND you're wasting our time. At the very very very least, go to a friend/family member who has a PC/MAC and log into YOUR Google account from THEIR machine. Open MORE THAN ONE browser and check the photos that way.Check Google Photos via Chrome, Firefox and/or at least one more browser (Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari, Edge, etc). Of course, if you have an iPhone/Android, verify the same via the native Google Photo 'app'. Again, per point #2, you cannot troubleshoot ANYTHING 'seriously' if all you have is one device and one browser. You have to try to view Google Photos from MORE than one device and MORE Than one browser. Once you do the above, if you're still 'missing' photos after you have verified this via AT LEAST TWO devices and AT LEAST TWO or THREE browser, then maybe they really are missing and you should report this issue to Google. From what 'I' have observed, there is NO missing photos issues in Google Photo. You 'might' discover that ONE device or ONE browser is NOT behaving right. That will be another issue but at least you would know that your photos are not missing., Have fun and good luck! Christian Christian Gaspar 10/7/2016, 0:53 น. I have the same problem: I have many photos backed up and which appear on the Android app of my phone and tablet (both running Lollipop) but DON'T show up in Chrome, Chrome after I've cleared the cache and cookies, Chrome in Incognito, Edge, and Firefox (both of which I don't normally use and are basically fresh installs - I even had to login to my Google account). The problem doesn't appear to be RAW vs JPEG, or photos from my DSLR vs.
